Indy Star: Sen. Todd Young Tells Struggling Music Venue Owners That Financial Help is on the Way

Indianapolis (IndyStar) - U.S. Sen. Todd Young visited the Slipper Noodle Inn on Tuesday to listen to Indiana Independent Venue Alliance (IIVA) members discuss the financial hardships their venues are facing due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Slippery Noodle' owner Hal Yeagy, Duke’s Indy owner Dustin Boyer, Jazz Kitchen owner David Allee, Pavilion co-founder Cebronica Luft, HI-FI owner Josh Baker, and White Rabbit Cabaret owner Debra Silveus were among the six IIVA members Young offered encouraging words to.

The Republican senator introduced his RESTART Act in May with Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colorado, to support small-and mid-sized businesses most affected by the pandemic.

The RESTART Act establishes a Small Business Administration loan program for businesses with up to 5,000 full-time employees and extends the Paycheck Protection Program for certain businesses.
