Third Round of Marquee Relief Fund Grants Announced as Venues Wait for Federal Aid
Yesterday, April 19 2020 — The Indiana Independent Venue Alliance announced the opening of Round 3 applications for its Marquee Relief Fund Grant Program. It is nearing two weeks since the Small Business Administration’s Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Portal crashed, further postposing the federal aid for independent venues.
After two successful rounds of Marquee Relief Fund micro-grants in late 2020, IIVA hoped to offer additional help to Indiana’s Independent Venues still waiting for federal aid applications to be reopened. Marquee Relief Fund Applications for Round Three will be open through Friday, April 30th at 5PM.
Funding for the Marquee Relief Fund is ongoing. Individuals and businesses interested in making a contribution to support this fund, may do so directly through our website or by contacting karah@indianavenuealliance.org.
About the Marquee Relief Fund
The Marquee Relief Fund was created to support and preserve the live music venues across Indiana and their impact on Indiana’s economy, neighborhoods, quality of life, jobs and dependent industries. With over 90% of 2020 revenue lost, these small businesses are facing tough decisions about their futures.
The Marquee Relief Fund has been made possible through the generous donations of live music fans across Indiana, and the United States.
IIVA’s fundraising programs directly support future grant programs for venues, promoters, festivals and artists.
The Marquee Relief Fund is the first of two signature funds created to support Indiana’s live music ecosystem. IIVA plans to launch the Emergency Live Music Relief Fund (ELMR) that will expand financial relief opportunities to live music promoters, music festivals and performing artists. The IIVA intends to offer multiple rounds of funding from both programs as they are funded.
